Into The Woods

My children and I went hiking the day after an ice storm had laid a blanket of ice over newly fallen snow. It made hiking through once familiar woods seem alien. They worked together to blaze a path through the frozen drifts and we spent the afternoon exploring a world temporarily altered by the weather.

The pieces in the following pages were made for my children's rooms prior to each of their births. I wanted to make simple paintings that would be easily seen by developing eyes and could act as a naming game as they grew. These originals are not for sale and still hang in their rooms.
