I have always found the subtle changes in the fall leaves to be a seasonal treat. One fall I grabbed a handful of leaves from the yard and painted them. This is one of my earlier paintings in which I attempted to work on a much larger scale than I had before.

Borderswords

While living in the southwest, I enjoyed how the summer evenings drew in around the agave yucca plant in the front yard of our house in Bernalillo, New Mexico. This was an early experiment of merging colored pencil and acrylic painting.
