Cave Crayfish + Plastic Bag

12" x 12", Acrylic on Reflective Acrylic Panel

This was an experiment on a new surface with an idea I had been playing around with for a while.  I was pleased with the results but the piece has proven hard to photograph due to the reflective surface.

Maybe We Should Come Back In The Morning

16" x 20", Acrylic on Canvas

This was another experiment with fluorescence paint applied in thin layers for a painting demonstration I did at Bryn Du Mansion in Granville.

That Room Is Just For Storage

12" x 18", Acrylic on Reflective Acrylic Panel

The one positive with these awful times is that working from home has given me the opportunity to spend a lot of time in my studio. This was another experiment with pour painting and reflecftive acrylic panel. Again, photographing a reflective surface is challenging.

The Call To Adventure

24" x 36", Acrylic on Canvas

I wanted to attempt to capture the magic of childhood adventures and further experiment with thin layers of fluorescent paint.

Porchlight Fever

16" x 20", Acrylic on Canvas

This was inspired by those warm summer nights outside with moths orbiting the lights.  All of the species depicted are native to Ohio.

Jelly Mushroom

26" x 34", Acrylic on Canvas

This painting was based on a  photograph of a jelly mushroom my kids and I were looking at using a field microscope. I really enjoyed the color transitions and forms and hadn't done a more abstract piece for some time.
